Timeline:
- April 29th – Board Applications open. Prospective candidates should submit applications and bios to boardapplication@vistautah.com or school office by May 12th. (School will be closed on May 4th,5th,11th, and 12th, but online applications and emails will be accepted.)
- May 11th – Deadline for candidate submissions. All board applications must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. All candidate information will be made available on Vista website by May 13th.
- May 13th – Election and candidate information will be posted on the website. Copy's can also be obtained from school office.
- May 13th to May 24th – Deadline for voting. Voting for board candidates shall be made available from the beginning of the school day (8:25am) through 30 minutes after the end of the school day (3:30pm). All voting will be done with manual ballot forms (one vote per family of attending student/s) at the school. On Tuesday (May 21st) voting booths will be open until 7:00pm. Voting ends on Friday (May 24) at 1:05pm.
- May 29th – Results are validated by election committee and new board member(s) is communicated to the public.
- May 29th 5pm – Welcome and orientation for new board member(s) at Vista School.
- Please come and welcome the new board members!

Basic Campaign Guidelines
- To be considered a candidate, any interested party must submit a board application and bio to boardapplication@vistautah.com or the school office by the deadline indicated in the above timeline.
- Any immediate relative (defined in the charter or bylaws) of a current serving board member is not eligible to run.
- Each candidate’s application and bio will be provided to each voting family by email. This is the information on which they will be basing their decision, so be complete and factual, and include all information you want to be considered.
- Each candidate’s application and bio will be posted on the Vista website from May 13th through May 24th.
- No candidate may campaign through: mass mailings, emails, unsolicited phone calls, posters, placards or other displayed material in or around the school.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a disqualification of your candidacy.
