Here is the last schedule that I will send out! Next week starts our final week of rehearsals with Thursday, April 26th being our first performance day. Below is the complete schedule for April 23rd- May 5th. 

   It has come to my attention that the Friday schedule (April 20th) is mismarked. It will not be taking place from 3:15pm-4:45pm, it will be from 12:45pm-3:30pm. Sorry about that!

   Saturday marks our first dress rehearsal with makeup. This means that each child needs to bring foundation, blush, and eyeliner to the rehearsal on Saturday. Please let me know if this is a problem. 

   We've had a couple of parents ask about filming or photographing the show. Unfortunately the contract that we've signed with the licensing company makes it extremely illegal to take any photos or video of the show at all. These licensing companies regularly send out people to sit in the audience and watch to make sure no one is violating these contracts, and if someone is caught recording/photographing when they shouldn't then the licensing company has full legal rights to sue the person violating the contract and the school itself. I know it's tempting but please leave your cameras at home!

   Mrs. Thompson has asked that the rehearsal schedule be changed tomorrow. She feels as though the villagers are good to go, and don't need the scheduled time we had for them tomorrow (they worked so hard on Monday, and it really paid off!) Below is the new schedule (changes in RED).

  Mrs. Richins will be passing out the comp tickets on Saturday, and those can be redeemed at the front office starting the next Monday (the 16th).

For those who volunteered to be prop gatherers, the prop list will be coming out either later today or tomorrow. Please contact me once you have an idea of what you can do.

April 10

  I've gotten a lot of emails about whether or not the schedule for Saturday will be changing because of the postponement of the school carnival. We would like to change it so that we can end earlier, but we are waiting for Mr. Oram to clear the new schedule we've submitted to him. I will send out an email when I know exactly what's going on. 

   Tickets are now on sale at the front office. Each member of the cast gets one comp ticket, and ticket prices are $8 for adults, and $4 for students. Please let me know if you have any questions. 

   Vista has arraigned for Fargo's to stay open late for cast members and their families after the last performance on closing night (May 5th). It sounds like a lot of fun, and I think it would be wonderful if the cast could stay together and have fun on closing night!

  Mrs. Richins has asked me to attach the Love Note and Show Sponsor forms to this email as well. If you wish to write a love note or purchase a sponsor spot in the program please fill out the form and return it to Mrs. Richins with your payment by April 11th. 

   Please ask your child if they've turned in a progress report to Mr. Glass. They were due today and Mr. Glass let me know that we are still missing a few. If your child hasn't turned one in please submit one to Mr. Glass ASAP. This is also a reminder that no child can have a grade lower than a "C" and still participate in OOTI.

March 26 - 30 Weekly Update

Below is next week's rehearsal schedule, please let me know if you have any questions. Please note that the cast members who are also in Dance Company are excused from the rehearsal on the 27th so that they can have more time with Dance Company to rehearse for their upcoming performance. Also, some people are called this week to learn the music to Forever Yours but not choreography because they will be singing backstage. This isn't a reflection on any child's ability at all, the script just calls for less people onstage but Mr. Glass still wants the song to have a very full sound. 

   Mr. Glass asked me to pass along the information that he is going to be going through the list of people who have paid the participation fee and will be personally contacting those who haven't paid yet. Because some families have more than one child in the show, the school has decided to offer a discount on some participation fees. If you only have one child in the show then you will still pay just $30 dollars. If you have two children, then we'll take $10 dollars off the second child's participation fee and you'll pay $50 instead of $60, if you have three children in the play then we'll take $20 dollars off the third child's participation fee, and you'll pay $60 dollars instead of $90. Each subsequent child after three will not be required to pay a participation fee. Below is a chart of how much you'll have to pay.

1 child- $30
2 children- $50
3 children- $60
4 (or more) children- $60

If you find yourself unable to pay the participation fees, please contact Mr. Glass (mglass@vistautah.com) as soon as you can.
