Vista’s Math Competition Team A won first place in the January Math Competition! - Ruby Bowers, Chris Oram, Coby Oram, and AJ VanValkenburg; 5 of the top 10 were Vista students in the individual scores: Ruby, Chris, Coby, Celise Hight, and Jacob Horton This competition was for all of the Washington County Schools.
Congratulations to all of our PTO sponsored "Inspirations" contest! Vista's Orchestra won top honors at the 2012 Southern Utah Performing Arts Festival.
Vista took a trophy for Best Master Copy at the Kayenta Street Art Festival!! Way to go wonderful Art students. Brella warnick and Lauryn Kinzie colored "Birth of Venus"

Out of the 10 projects that we entered, Vista received 7 awards. Summer Rodgers and Tiana Schall won 1st place in the special awards category from the Navy. Jessica Hansen won 1st place gold medal in the Earth and Environment Category, Chris and Coby Oram won 1st place gold medal in the Math and Computer Science Category. Noah Hume won 2nd place silver medal in the Math and Computer Science Category. Matthew Sarria won 3rd place bronze medal under the category of Engineering-Energy Solutions. Erynn Swinson won two awards, first, a special award and $25.00 cash, and 3rd place bronze medal under her category of Earth and the Environment.

- Congratulations to Zachary Hume, Laurel Hailstone, and Gracie Richens. Their math team placed 4th at the recent competition. Congratulations to Coby an Chris Oram who placed 2nd in the in the individual competition and Ruby Bowers placed in the top 10 as well.
- Congratulations to Janna Ostler, Brooklyn Richins, and Mrs. Thompson, they are in the top 15 of Dixie's Got Talent.

- Congratulations to 27 of Mrs. Bowler's Language Arts students who will be published in the upcoming the anthology, A Celebration Of Poets. Not every entry is published, only 50%, but all 27 entries from Vista students were selected to be published! Vista School also received the "Poetic Achievement Award," because of this fantastic accomplishment. This honor is given to only the top 10% of the schools!
- Congratulations to Austin Densley who read 9,605 pages in the Beckstrom Orthodontics reading contest! 1st place! Winner of a DSI gameboy.
