Mellanie’s Skills and Experience: I am a leadership facilitator and appreciate opportunities to learn from others. My goal is to listen to families and represent their needs and desires. I am trained in organizational change management and believe that communication, collaboration, and interest in others brings about the best decisions. It's also not enough to make the right decisions - my skills allow me to bring others along on the decision-making process in order to increase their buy-in and excitement about changes. Listening and responding to feedback is critical and I believe my experience personally and professionally has allowed me to exercise these talents. I am also naturally strategic and pride myself in finding creative ways to solve problems. From fundraising to marketing to increasing parent engagement and improving academic outcomes, I know that I can help identify ways to support our personnel and make our great school even better.

I've also worked on business development teams and believe I can advise Vista personnel in doing more strategic fundraising that can support the school's growth and the benefits we offer. I've also worked in school settings to consult on behavior and believe there are systematic changes we can make that would increase positive behavior throughout the school and enhance the learning environment.
