Reading Endorsement
Mrs. Fife has worked as the reading specialist and interventionist at Vista for the past eight years. This year she will be working with 4th and 5th grade students. This year she is looking forward to her new assignment as reading specialist for the 3rd and 4th grades. Her greatest fulfillment as a reading teacher comes in helping students progress in their reading ability and observing students’ growth and achievement in reading.
Mrs. Fife has taught and worked with children throughout her life as a piano teacher, children’s community choir director, teacher assistant, and 4th and 5th grade teacher. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a B.A. in Education. She later received a Master of Education degree and a reading endorsement at SUU. She has attended numerous reading conferences and workshops and recently participated in a five week reading practicum at the University of Utah Reading Clinic (UURC).
Mrs. Fife and her husband have five daughters and a son and 14 grandchildren. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, writing (namely histories and poetry), walking, camping, musical productions, and spending time with her family.
