Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA

After seven years of teaching Physiology to first year medical students at St. George’s University School of Medicine on the Caribbean island of Grenada, Jacqueline moved with her son to the Ivins, Utah area in August 2019 to assume the position of Associate Professor of Physiology at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada of Jamaican descent (oui, je parle Francais!), Jacqueline received an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Biology with a minor in Psychology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology and Immunology from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She has taught at Ross University School of Medicine on the Caribbean island of Dominica, and at Oceania University of Medicine, educating students located in Apia, Samoa and across the Australian continent. With twenty years of educational and leadership experience at the medical and graduate school level, Jacqueline views education as a dynamic field and is excited to work closely with the Vista teachers and staff to positively impact student achievement. Additionally, with her minority perspective, Jacqueline also looks to influence diversity and inclusivity both on the Board as well as in the Vista community. Jacqueline’s greatest joy is raising and spending time with her beautiful son (a current Vista technology student) and two toy poodles, travelling/visiting family and friends internationally, being in the gym and/or playing a sport.
