Kat Garrard has an English BA from UNLV and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix. She has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. She has also worked as a Reading Interventionist, Reading Specialist, Staff Developer, and Administrator. She currently works as a Grant Writer for Vista. She has truly loved every year that she has worked in education. Working at Vista for the past eight years has been a dream-come-true. Kat has three amazing children who are her inspiration in life. She loves to hike and be outdoors. She also loves to read and spend time with her very spoiled dog, Bella.
