EDUCATION:
B.S. Biology with a minor in Chemistry
As an alum of Southern Utah University, the motto “learning lives forever” inspires Logan to teach in a way that not only educates students, but ignites their own passion for learning. Logan’s passion for learning began as he studied the sciences at SUU, preparing for a career in medicine. As part of his preparation for applying to medical school, he started an after school science and engineering club at a local elementary school. While leading this club, Logan coached Future LEGO League teams who competed at state for two years in a row. This opportunity sparked an interest in teaching that he couldn’t ignore, leading Logan to alter his career course to pursue teaching instead of medicine. Logan is excited to bring his experience in medicine, science, engineering, and technology into the classroom to provide unique learning opportunities for his students. While in college, Logan completed a summer internship with Zion National Park and another with the Dixie National Forest where he fell in love with southern Utah’s beautiful landscape. He is quick to jump on any opportunity to hike a new trail with his fiancé, but if it gets too hot out, he enjoys staying inside and reading a good book as well.
