Over the past 20 years Tara has taught in California, Wyoming, and Utah. She has experience teaching K, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade, as well as, supporting struggling readers as a Title 1 K-5 reading specialist. Tara says that working at Vista is a dream-come-true, and she loves that Vista offers a well-rounded education that incorporates technology and the arts. She says that Vista is a treat for both students and staff!
Tara relocated to Utah two years ago so that her youngest daughter could attend Tuacahn High School. She enjoys the many outdoor adventures that St. George offers and particularly loves that winter (as she knew it) does not exist here! When her daughter was diagnosed with dysautonomia (POTS) in the 8th grade, Tara became a strong advocate for those who suffer with the invisible illness. One of her passions is to educate others about the mostly unknown condition, because dysautonomia is not rare; it is just rarely diagnosed.
