Masters in Special Education (Endorsements in Autism, English Language Learners, and Elementary Education)
Tom Evans has been in education since 2002. Tom started out as a substitute teacher in California. His first teaching job was at a non-public school in California where he taught emotionally disturbed students. Tom has endorsements in special education, autism, and elementary education. Tom has a master’s degree in Special Education where he developed expertise in ADHD. Tom has taught in three different states. While in California, he was the Special Education Department Chair and was on the school leadership team. Tom is a researcher who delights in the fantastic collaborative environment found at Vista School.
Outside of Vista School, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, six children, and his church family. His family enjoys traveling, hiking, and recreational opportunities. Tom enjoys teaching, scouting, and physical science.
