Vanessa was born and raised in an air force family who l lived in Japan, Texas, and Mesquite, Nevada. She was the second oldest of five children and was on the drill team and in theater in high school. She served a mission for her church in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
Vanessa started in the custodial occupation 38 years ago in a manufacturing company before transferring to the school system 17 years ago. She worked 4 years with Washington County School district, 2 years as custodial supervisor of a elementary school in Grand Junction, CO, and she spent the last 11 years working for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints maintaining chapels , and historical sites. She has been an evening on-call sub for Vista for 7 years now and is a most valuable resource to have on our team.
