Mrs. Smith
She received her teaching license at Weber State, and her master's from SUU. She was inspired to teach because of her desire to "connect with children again after I moved away from my kids and grandkids. . .and realizing how much fun I used to have when I did music with kids in years past." Her favorite quote is from Eckhart Tolle, "In today’s rush we all think too much, seek too much, want too much and forget about the joy of just Being.” Her favorite treat is Cinnabon and her favorite hobby is editing books. Her partner is an author who is working on a fantasy series, and she finds it relaxing to edit his books for him!
Mrs. Williams
Mrs. Williams has been playing music and writing songs since she was a little girl. She studied songwriting, piano and education at Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in both music and history education. Mrs. Williams and her husband lived in Nashville, Tennessee for about ten years before moving to southern Utah. Mrs. Williams loves being part of Vista and watching students learn to play the piano, write music and explore the stories of their past through social studies. When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Williams likes to run on the trails around southern Utah, write and record music of her own, and take her three kids kayaking.
