Uniforms

General Statement

The dress code is designed to further and reinforce a core value of equality for all at Vista. Not every item can be listed in the dress code. We hope that a general understanding exists that any item of clothing, any style of dress, hair, or adornment that draws attention to a student is restricted. We believe a student’s character, personality, and abilities should draw attention to him or her, not their appearance. Interpretation of the dress code will be through the perspective described above. If there is any uncertainty or lack of clarity, once the interpretation is clarified, it is anticipated that students will follow the dress code with exactness. Students must arrive and leave school in their school uniform. Classes that have a class-specific uniform will give students time to change at the start and end of each class.
