Halloween Celebrations

We are so excited for our annual Halloween Costume Parade next Friday morning, October 30! This is always such a fun event for our students, and we can’t wait to see all of their wonderful, creative costumes.

To help us keep our students safe and ensure the morning runs smoothly for everyone, please take a moment to review the schedule, spectator information, and costume guidelines below.

Logistics & Viewing

  • Parade Start: The parade will begin promptly at 8:40 AM and last approximately 30 minutes.
  • Student Drop-Off: Please drop off your students at their normal time and location so they can join their classes.
  • Parent Parking: Parking will be limited after drop-off, so we encourage you to plan ahead and allow extra time if you are attending.
  • Viewing Location: You are welcome to enter through the back gates and set up on the back field. Please bypass the front office when arriving for the parade. Note: Seating isn't provided, so feel free to bring your own lawn chair!
  • Early Check-Outs: To keep the track clear and safe, we cannot check students out between 8:40 AM and 9:15 AM. If you need to check your student out early, please wait until the parade has ended.
  • Classroom Volunteers: If you are staying to volunteer in a classroom after the parade, please walk around to the front of the building once the parade concludes and check in at the front office with your photo ID. Reminder that younger children are not permitted in the classrooms during volunteer time.

Costume Guidelines We want everyone to have a fantastic time while staying safe and comfortable! Please make sure your child's costume follows these quick guidelines:

  1. Masks & Paint: No full-face masks or full-face paint.
  2. Inflatables: No inflatable costumes, as they can restrict movement and sightlines.
  3. Props: No weapons or replica/toy weapons of any kind.
  4. Character Costumes: Costumes should represent a specific, recognizable character (general cross-gender dress-up is not permitted unless it represents a specific character)

Thank you for helping us create a fun and memorable Halloween for our students!

Updates from the PTO

Thank You, Vista!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s Fall Festival such a success!

Thank you to our Vista families who came out and supported the event, our incredible volunteers, and our teachers and administration who shifted gears at the last minute and helped us bring the festival indoors.

We are also incredibly grateful for the many local businesses and Vista parents who donated to our Silent Auction, sponsored or ran booths, and helped create such a fun experience for our Vista families.

Because of this amazing support, the Fall Festival was not only a wonderful night for our school community—it also helped raise the funds that allow the PTO to continue supporting Vista students, teachers, staff, and programs throughout the year.

We truly couldn’t do it without you!
