Lost and Found

Please label all items to help ensure their return to students! The Lost and Found is located in the hallway next to the lunchroom for items lost outside the classroom. Items lost in classrooms will be kept by teachers until collected by students or gathered at the end of the month for donation. Lunchboxes and water bottles left in the lunchroom and playground will be kept in the cafeteria for two weeks before being donated to a local organization. Please remind your student(s) to look for missing items each day. Parents are welcome to come in any day after school to check the hallway lost and found, or email teachers about a missing item. On the last Friday of every month, all unclaimed lost and found items are gathered and donated. Vista-approved uniform items that remain unclaimed for the month will be donated to the Vista School PTO. Please note that during the winter months, items may need to be cleared out or donated more frequently due to the high volume of coats and jackets.

Quick Guide to Vista Uniforms

Now that the school year is under way, here is a helpful refresher on Vista’s dress code policy. Please ensure all clothing is clean, in good repair (no holes or cutoffs), and free of non-Vista logos.

  • Shirts & Tops: Must be a polo shirt, polo dress, or button-down shirt in solid Navy, Red, Light Blue, or White. (Standard t-shirts or non-collared shirts are only permitted underneath uniform tops as undershirts).
  • Bottoms: Pants, capris, or shorts (with rear pockets) in Black, Khaki, or Navy. Approved fabrics include woven cotton, polyester, and corduroy. Skirts, skorts, and jumpers in French Toast Navy/Red Plaid are also permitted.
    • Note: Shorts, skirts, skorts, and dresses must be no more than 2–3 inches above the top of the kneecap.
    • Denim, sweatpants, nylon, cargo pockets, and leggings worn as pants are not permitted on standard uniform days.
  • Sweaters & Outerwear: Solid Navy, Red, Light Blue, or White button-up cardigans or knit sweaters may be worn over an approved uniform shirt. Only Vista-approved solid Navy or Black coats are allowed indoors/outdoors.
  • Shoes & Socks: Closed-toe, closed-heel athletic or dress shoes (heels under 1 inch). Socks must be solid White, Navy, or Black. (No Crocs, sandals, light-ups, or slippers).
  • Accessories & Hair: Hair must be a simple, non-distracting naturally occurring color. Jewelry and makeup should be minimal and conservative. No hats, hoodies, or bandanas.

Spirit Days: On the first Friday of each month, students may wear a Vista spirit shirt or standard polo with clean, hole-free jeans or jean shorts.
